May 2017 RFP: S-E Synthesis Research for Graduate Students
The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) located in Annapolis, Maryland seeks proposals for independent, collaborative team-based synthesis research by graduate student teams.

Propose a Workshop
Workshops are single meetings of up to ~25 participants that focus on a broad topic or a set of related topics related to socio-environmental science and/or socio-environmental problems. Workshops may summarize and/or synthesize the state of the topic and/or identify future directions that have the potential to lead to a larger synthesis effort. We are particularly interested in workshops that bring together new combinations of individuals and disciplines.

SESYNC-Georgetown Postdoctoral Fellowship: Network Modeling for Wildlife Conservation
The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) and Georgetown University invite applications for a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship opportunity, focused on Network Modeling for Wildlife Conservation. The postdoc opportunity is for August 2017 through August 2019, and is open to applicants who have completed their PhD in a relevant field no later than July 1, 2017 and no earlier than July 1, 2014.

Propose a Short Course
The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) supports short courses on topics relevant to socio-environmental systems, the synthesis process, data management and analysis, or cyberinfrastructure tools. Short-courses are typically 3–10 days in duration.Applications are accepted by May 15 or October 15 for biannual evaluation.
Maryland Fellows
Maryland Fellows are scholars from University System of Maryland (USM) universities or other institutions within commuting distance who apply to work at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) during periods of leave or sabbatical from their home institutions.Applications are accepted by May 15 or October 15 for biannual evaluation.
