SESYNC-RTI Postdoctoral Fellowship: Modeling the Impacts of Climate Variability on the Nutritional Value of Crops and Potential Effects on Human Health and Well-being

SESYNC-Microsoft Postdoctoral Fellowship - Big Data and Socio-Environmental Sustainability
The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) and Microsoft invite applications from early career scholars for 2-year postdoctoral fellowships that begin in August 2017.  Each fellow is in residence at SESYNC in Annapolis, MD, is a full participant in SESYNC’s Post-doctoral Immersion Program, and has a Collaborating Research Mentor from Microsoft.

SESYNC Postdoctoral Fellowship - Supply Chain Commitments
The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) invites applications from early career scholars for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship that begins in August 2017. Applicants are expected to propose ideas for a data synthesis or modeling project that contributes to our understanding of the effectiveness of zero-deforestation commitments in reducing the environmental impacts of agricultural expansion in South America.

Maryland Fellows
Maryland Fellows are scholars from University System of Maryland (USM) universities or other institutions within commuting distance who apply to work at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) during periods of leave or sabbatical from their home institutions.Applications are accepted by May 15 or October 15 for biannual evaluation.
Sabbatical & Research Fellowships
Sabbatical & Research Fellowships are awarded to established scholars who will be in residence at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) or the Resources for the Future facility for 2–12 months to undertake activities that will advance socio-environmental synthesis research.Applications are accepted by May 15 or October 15 for biannual evaluation.
Short-Term Visitors
Short-term visitors are scholars in residence at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) from two weeks to two months who work on synthesis projects.Applications are accepted by May 15 or October 15 for biannual evaluation.
Policy & Practice Fellowships
Policy & Practice Fellows propose short-term visits (<2 months) in which they interact with the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) community in Annapolis, Maryland.Applications are accepted by May 15 or October 15 for biannual evaluation.
Propose a Short Course
The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) supports short courses on topics relevant to socio-environmental systems, the synthesis process, data management and analysis, or cyberinfrastructure tools. Short-courses are typically 3–10 days in duration.Applications are accepted by May 15 or October 15 for biannual evaluation.
